AVELOR SUMMARY
Japanese longevity herb from Hachijō Island. Contains 4,4'-dimethoxychalcone (DMC), the compound identified in a 2019 Nature Medicine paper as activating autophagy and extending lifespan in yeast, worms, and flies. DMC is the ONLY chalcone shown to activate TFEB (transcription factor EB, master regulator of autophagy). Also contains prenylated chalcones with anti-inflammatory and anti-diabetic activity. Limited human data but the autophagy mechanism is validated in multiple model organisms. Dose: 500-1,500mg/day dried leaf/stem.
