AVELOR SUMMARY
Vitamin K1 is the PLANT form of vitamin K (found in green leafy vegetables). Its primary role: activating clotting factors (II, VII, IX, X). K1 is poorly redistributed to bone and vascular tissue, K2 is superior for extrahepatic effects (bone, arteries). K1 is the antidote for warfarin overdose (IV phytonadione). For clotting: K1 sufficient from diet. For bone/cardiovascular: K2 (MK-7) is preferred.
