Lupeol is a pentacyclic triterpenoid from mango, olive, fig, and birch bark. In vitro anti-cancer activity against prostate, pancreatic, and skin cancer lines via NF-κB inhibition and PI3K/Akt suppression. Also anti-inflammatory (COX-2/LOX inhibition). Limited to preclinical data — no human clinical trials. The topical anti-inflammatory effect (skin) is the most translatable finding.
